Allspark Electric is a Full-Service Electrical Contracting Company

The owner, Franklin Wilson, was born and raised in the San Jose area. When Frank was young he always had a knack for wanting to know how things worked and loved learning. He was always smart and curious in school and, at the same time, wanted to help people. Becoming an electrician was a natural path for Frank. His older brother was an electrician and took him with him to special job sites. He started to be helpful to have around and then started learning how things worked. Frank took to being an electrician like a duck to water and he went on to get his license with the rest being history.
After 10+ years of working as an electrician for another company, Frank decided that it was time to start his own company. Frank has a loving and supportive extended family who live in the bay area and helped encourage him to break out on his own.
In July 2021, he officially started Allspark Electric. He knew the type of hard-working people he wanted to have on his team and was smart enough to hire them. He talked to business owners and others to learn the best way to set up his company – the right way the first time. He researched and had experience with handling materials and learned, for example, which panel boxes were the best to use, which cables performed the best and, then, during Covid he was smart enough to build up his inventory so he wouldn’t be out of stock when equipment was needed for projects and items were in short supply. He is a stickler for details – to be a good electrician and business owner, you have to be into details.

As any small business owner knows, it’s not easy having and keeping a small business successful so Frank knows to attend to all business and electrical details.

When he sees trends happening in the industry and sees technology changing, he takes accreditation classes to stay up on the latest. Even though his vans are packed with the best equipment, and he hires smart and experienced electricians, you won’t see Frank and his crew driving around in the latest and greatest vans. He’s smart. He waits until he has the money to pay for what he needs so he doesn’t go into debt (or too much debt). He has seen the mistakes other electricians have made and learns from them. He’s starting out, building his business from the ground up, and wants to take it smart and slow. He’s in it for the long haul. He makes it a priority to please his customers today so that when they need electrical work next time, he will be the first one they call. And he is already going in the right direction – be sure to read some of his great testimonials!

Frank takes pride in his work and checks ALL the tasks of his staff. In all of the years he has been working as an electrician, Frank has never had a lawsuit or official complaint against him – and he wants to keep it that way.
Frank has fully-qualified electricians and apprentice* electricians working at the company.
    * An apprentice electrician is an entry-level electrical trainee enrolled in an apprenticeship program learning the concepts and skills necessary to become a certified electrician. As an apprentice, an electrician will receive a combination of classroom education and paid on-the-job experience. They must have a valid driver’s license and pass an electrician aptitude test before entering the apprenticeship program. Skills that are typically covered in these programs include how to design, install and repair commercial or residential electrical systems, as well as how to install and maintain data-telecommunications wiring. Apprentice electricians work under the observation of a journeyman-level electrician, building basic skills and gaining additional tasks and responsibilities as they improve. It takes 4 years or 720 hours of electrician instruction from an approved trade school or apprenticeship program that combines hands-on training with classroom instruction plus they must pass a California State certification exam.
